Renewed Earth Compost
Leaf compost is not all created the same

Natural mulch & organic soil amendment
Producing high quality leaf compost starts with using a clean and consistent source for leaves. Partnerships are formed with well organized municipal leaf collection operations located in urban areas where contamination from debris is minimized.

Leaves are transported from the municipal staging area to Renewed Earth’s compost facility in Otsego, Michigan. The leaves are then organized in long windrows.  Experienced operators utilize specialized processing equipment to aggressively invert and blend the windrows.

Windrow size is made ideal given the time of year and expected weather conditions to optimize the compost production process.

With this level of management, Renewed Earth is able to optimize the major composting variables to reach the desired particle size distribution, maximize the organic content, reach the desired compost maturity and maintain the appropriate temperatures for weed seed degradation.
